PREAMBLE
Hope Community Initiative is a community Based Organization (CBO) registered in Buvuma Island District of Uganda since 2020. Buvuma district is composed of 52 independent islands with unique biodiversity. However, recent demands for arable land for commercial agriculture continue to threaten biodiversity on the main island measuring 51,800 Ha. We recognize the urgent need to deal with the consequences in form of; environmental degradation, deforestation, biodiversity degradation, species extinctions, climate change drivers and strive to promote sustainable development, Climate Smart Agriculture, youths and women empowerment in order to attain the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the AICHI targets (Strategic Goal A) through integrated community development initiatives.

To increase access to essential services to island communities by 50% within the next 5 years, improving health outcomes.OUR VISION
To promote a thriving community in Buvuma islands, with access to essential services, sustainable livelihoods, and opportunities for a healthy and prosperous life.
